Can structured Frame documents be processed in Trados?

Hi all:

I have a number of structured Frame documents, following a custom EDD, that need to be translated. The idea is to save them as .mif files and give the .mif files to the translation agency who would process the files in Trados Studio 2009, translate them and then return the translated files as structured .mif files. The critical point is that the structure of the source files needs to be available also in the translated files. Is it possible to preserve the structure through the translation process?
