Problems with 7.1 API Client on 10.0

Hi folks,

I am working on FrameMaker 10.0 but need to make use of a custom API Client written for 7.1.

After configuring the appropriate maker.ini files to point to my client DLL and starting up FrameMaker I get the following error:

Cannot initialize API client D:\...

The error message goes on to say that I should check whether my client program is there or whether I have enough swap space.

I am OK on both counts.

Does anyone have any workarounds or suggestions for this or is the answer simply that 7.1 API clients won't work on 10.0.
